SPOTLIGHT: CAHOOTS

CAHOOTS stands for Crisis Assistance Helping Out On The Streets. CAHOOTS provides mobile crisis intervention 24/7 in the Eugene-Springfield metro area. Each team consists of a medic and a crisis worker. They provide immediate stabilization in case of urgent medical need or psychological crisis. They assess, refer, advocate, even transport to treatment in some cases.
