15th Night Wants You to Be a Community Responder Volunteer!

August 15, 2022

15th Night is a community movement, and we believe that everyone in our community has a role to play when it comes to ending youth homelessness. One of the easiest ways to get involved is by signing up to be a Community Responder Volunteer for 15th Night! So, what does that mean?

A Community Responder Volunteer is someone who signs up to receive a text message and email “alert” when there is an unmet need for a youth in our community. If you are able to help out, you respond to the alert. If you are unable to help out, you just ignore the alert. Simple as that!

Community Responder alerts go out for things like shoes, clothes, school supplies, and more! Our Community Responder network has helped us to provide youth with the things they need to be able to stay connected to school and focused on their futures. Through this network we have been able to help youth participate in school sports, furnish their apartments, get a haircut before the new school year, and so much more. It is truly amazing to see how far a new pair of shoes or clean clothes can go to help a student walk more confidently in to school, and thanks to Community Responders we get to see that a lot.

We know that it “takes a village” when it comes to supporting the youth in our community, and that is why our Community Responder network is so vital to the work we do. If you are interested in becoming a Community Responder for 15th Night, you can sign up here! You can choose to sign up as a Community Responder for the Eugene/Springfield community, or choose to support one of the many high schools that we partner with!

If you have any questions please reach out to us at Info@15thnight.org.

Thank you for your support! We truly couldn’t do it without you!
