2023 Summer Programming

At last week’s 15th Night Network Gathering, we asked partners to share about their upcoming Summer programs for youth. We are so excited to see so many amazing programs and opportunities available to youth in our community.

4J School District Summer Programs

  • Summer Intensive Programs are available at a variety of schools, and students can go to programs at a school where they are not enrolled. Programs offer school credit and students can enroll online.
  • High School credit recovery program
  • HOOTS drop-in counseling July 11th – August 10th 10am-12pm (Tuesdays @ SEHS, Wednesdays @ Churchill HS, Thursdays @ Sheldon HS).

Summer Academy to Inspire Learning (SAIL)

  • Pre-college program to inspire students to pursue, enroll, and succeed in higher education.
  • Programs for everything from journalism, to architecture and design.
  • During the program students can get support applying for school
  • Some programs offer high school credit as well
  • If students participate in the program two years in a row they can become eligible for a full housing scholarship at U of O.

Bethel School District Summer Programs

Springfield School District Summer Programs

  • Credit recovery – students can earn up to 3 credits

Looking Glass New Roads School

  • Complete high school diploma or earn GED
  • June 26 – August 24
  • Weekdays 10am – 4pm

NW Youth Corps

  • Conservation Crews 6/17-7/22 or 7/29-9/2
    • Ages 16 – 18
    • Online application can be found on website, or email Zeke.
    • Youth earn stipend and possibly school credit for participating in the program.
    • There is a program fee but scholarships are available.

Eugene Public Library Teen Center Programs

  • Summer Reading program – Anyone age 0-19 can receive a free book from the library.
  • Teen Center Programs every Wednesday at 2pm. Drop-in programming also available Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
  • Tween Center Programs (ages 9-12) every Tuesday.
  • Library “Comicon” Event August 11th, 2pm at Petersen Barn (bus passes available).

Hosea Youth Services

  • Drop-in center open Monday-Thursday (11am-6:30pm) and Fridays (11am-3pm)
  • Art program all day Friday
  • Life skills class on Thursdays at 4pm
